Jay Jay Helterbrand is a retired professional basketball player from the Philippines. He was born on October 14, 1976, in Detroit, Michigan, USA, but grew up in Davao City, Philippines. He played college basketball at the University of Kentucky before moving to the Philippines in 2000 to play in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Helterbrand played most of his professional career for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, one of the most popular and successful teams in the PBA. He won six championships and numerous individual awards during his 17-year career, including a Most Valuable Player award in 2009.
Helterbrand was known for his versatility, athleticism, and clutch performances on the court. He was a fan favorite and was well-respected by fellow players and coaches for his leadership and work ethic. He retired from professional basketball in 2017 and is currently working as an assistant coach for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
